A few things to add about Friday. First thing, we had very sophisticated showers that I'm pretty sure required an engineering degree to use. I will tell you I went into two rooms with people in their clothes sopping wet because the shower's two shower heads and six jets started shooting water out all over the place. It was pretty hilarious to watch.
Second, I forgot to mention we had an awesome devotion led by one of Mount Holly's graduated seniors. It was impressive she was able to communicate what she was able to while on the bus and keep their interest at the end of full day's riding.
Now, for today...
We headed away from Baton Rogue toward San Antonio pretty early this morning. We stopped for lunch (I have no idea where) where some had Cracker Barrel (again) and some had Jack in the Box. Guess what we did after that... we rode in the bus some more.
The monotony was broken up by a few games. We had one youth from each of the groups come up to see if they could name everyone on the bus (which they did, including our driver). Way to go Katie and Colter.
Next, they played "Honey if you love me, you'll smile". We had to have several rounds to get to the final championship which pitted Nathan against Chad. After several times of trying, we had to call it a tie as neither were going to crack a smile. The rest of us sure did though!
Tonight we ate at Coyote Corral for a wonderful buffet meal. Yum, yum!
So, we are finally in San Antonio (yay!). I can easily say we are ALL glad to be off the bus. With that said, I think this year's bus driver is one of our best yet.
We settled in our rooms and enjoyed a great devotion by several rising seniors from the Marion group. After a time of announcements, we are ready to go for our first full day of ministry and witness in San Antonio.
Continue to pray with and for us. It's going to be a great week, and we look forward to sharing Christ's love with each other and the world.
BTW, we are already getting great material for the Top 10 list.
Enjoy the pictures!
